We are pleased to share that the SETO equipment has been successfully installed on the new research vessel of the Research & Innovation Center (OHB Opleidingscentrum voor hout en bouw) – Living Lab Belgium, part of the Training Center department.
The vessel, launched at the end of May, measures 19 meters by 4.5 meters and is fully electric, designed for intercity and urban transport of goods. As a zero-emission platform, it plays a key role in ongoing research into sustainable logistics and mobility.
A range of onboard sensors collect data such as vessel speed, engine RPM, location, and operational activity. This data is transmitted via an NMEA2000 bus to a cloud platform using 4G, 5G, or satellite connectivity, depending on network availability.
The insights gathered will directly contribute to the ongoing development of the SETO project, supporting data-driven research and innovation.
