The 2025 edition of the RTR Conference took place in Brussels (Belgium) between the 11th and 13th of February 2025. This year marked the eighth edition of this event since its inception in 2017. The RTR Conference is an annual gathering of industry, academia, and policymakers representing EU-funded projects in road transport. The conference focuses on disseminating the results, expected impacts, and future research steps from Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects in the area of road transport. This year, more than 80 European-funded projects were included in the programme, divided into 23 parallel sessions over the course of three days. Among the projects participating in the conference, SETO was one of them.
SETO was represented by Dr. Beatriz Martínez-Pastor, the project coordinator, who delivered a presentation outlining the general overview of the project, showcasing the results to date, and emphasising the mid to long-term expected impacts of the project. SETO was part of the twelfth parallel session – “Sustainable and resilient freight transport and long-haul logistics” – on Wednesday 12th of February 2025 between 14:15 and 17:15 CET. Together with SETO, the Horizon Europe projects KEYSTONE, SARIL, ReMuNet, and TRACE were also participating in this parallel session. A representative from each project had the chance to showcase their progress, results, and expected impacts. Following these presentations, a lively discussion including the panellists and the audience took place. The moderators of the session were Paola Chiarini (EC, DG MOVE) and Isabelle Schnell (Volvo Group).
