The role of VIL within the SETO project is to ensure active involvement from both authorities and transport companies in the development of SETO solutions. In the latest months, VIL has been actively gathering relevant information from project stakeholders, especially institutions dealing with social security and the Flemish tax agency.
VIL started this journey by conducting individual interviews with various authorities to introduce them to the project. Some key insights from these initial discussions include:

- Cross-border information sharing between authorities could greatly improve control measures
- Raising awareness to prevent infringements is just as crucial, if not more so, than issuing fines
